Ricky Miller (Jon Cryer) ist der einzige aus seiner ehemaligen High School Klasse, der mit 40 immer noch nicht verheiratet ist mit Ausnahme seines ebenfalls ledigen, besten Freundes Seth, der ihm aber auch keine wirkliche Hilfe ist. Verzweifelt bittet Ricky Gott um eine Frau. Doch was ihm der Himmel dann schickt, ist nicht irgendeine, sondern eine echte Traumfrau: Danita. Aber es gibt einen klitzekleinen Haken an der Geschichte: Danita ist bereits verheiratet und Ricky soll ihren furchtbaren Ehemann töten, damit ihrer großen Liebe nichts mehr im Wege steht….
