Das Jahr neigt sich dem Ende entgegen und somit rücken auch “The Game Awards 2021” immer näher. Das Event kürt unter Beteiligung der Community die jährlichen Gaming Highlights und bietet zudem auch zahlreiche Neuankündigungen. Gründer Geoff Keighley bereits von einer riesigen Anzahl an gezeigten Spielen. Nun stehen die Nominierungen in den verschiedenen Kategorien fest. Insbesondere Microsoft könnte dieses Jahr gut abräumen.

Microsoft hat mit 20 Nominierungen besonders gute Aussichten auf einen erfolgreichen Abend. Psychonauts 2 könnte sogar den begehrten Game of the Year Award abholen. Etwas Paradox: Deathloop ist ebenfalls ein Microsoft, bzw. Bethesda Game, kam aber nur für PS5 und PC. Das Spiel ist ebenfalls in mehreren Kategorien vertreten. Sony hat mit Ratchet & Clank ebenfalls ein starkes Zugpferd in der Hinterhand und könnte ebenfalls zahlreiche Preise abräumen.
